United Staffing Associates is a privately-owned temporary staffing agency that offers multiple staffing solutions to a variety of businesses of all sizes and industries. Temporary, Temporary-to-Hire, Direct Placement and Payroll Service options are available to adjust to your immediate needs. Our diverse and highly skilled workforce consists of more than 140 in-house employees and thousands of temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct placements. We are engaged in every aspect of the employment industry which includes staffing, hiring and recruiting and providing human resources, safety training and skill testing support. We care about our environment and are committed to safety, occupational health management, and risk control. With active employee and customer participation, safety training, work site hazard identification, and management and safety program innovation, our persistent efforts to improve upon a safe work environment continue to pay off. We offer free services for training and certifying temporary employees in maintaining a safe workplace, including free forklift training and certification, new employee safety orientations, and on-site safety evaluations.

By treating everyone with dignity, USA acknowledges that each individual can make a positive, long-term contribution to the company as a whole.
Our History
We began August 19, 2002 from modest accommodations in Templeton, California and quickly outgrew the space and officially moved our first location to Paso Robles, California the following year. Our quest to improve the employment industry by providing a personal experience to clients and employees alike quickly resulted in success. As a result of hard work and determination, we now operate from more than a dozen branch locations in order to serve a diverse collection of businesses.
Meet the Team
David
President
David has worked in the staffing industry since 1992. Prior to
opening the company in 2002, he held accounting and operations positions
for several California employment agencies. With an intense drive and
motivation to match the right employee with the right employer, David
divides his time between all of the various USA locations and still
finds time to recruit, interview, and train new employees alongside his
staff. A Certified Trainer in Forklift certification and possessing
years of education which consists of finance, accounting, and general
education, David continues to support and lead his company in each local
community he serves.
William
Vice-President & General Counsel
After graduating with a B.S. in Economics and a concentration in Tax
Accounting from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, William relocated to New York
to attend law school. William earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra
University School of Law, and is admitted to practice in California, New
York and New Jersey. Prior to joining United Staffing Associates,
William worked in legal and compliance departments at several global
financial services firms where he provided legal guidance on matters
covering federal and state regulatory compliance, corporate governance,
mergers and acquisitions, employment law, and commercial transactions.
William is a board member of the San Luis Obispo County Workforce
Development Board, a Court Appointed Special Advocate for at-risk youth,
and is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Susan
Chief Financial Officer
Susan joined USA in 2004 and has processed all financial aspects of
the business since. Susan worked for a Fortune 500 company in Iowa while
obtaining her Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of
Northern Iowa. After graduation, Susan relocated to California in order
to provide financial support to the company.
Julie
Vice-President
Based in the Central Valley, Julie provides hands on support to the
Porterville and Visalia branch locations and supplies daily accounts
receivable assistance to all USA locations and clients. Prior to joining
the company in 2002, Julie worked for the City of Tulare for 10 years
which included working as the Senior Services Activities Coordinator and
providing years of administrative support in multiple departments.
Working and residing within her neighboring community, Julie offers
firsthand knowledge of her surrounding areas by networking with local
businesses and is committed to growing the company throughout all of its
regions.
Shawnté
Vice-President - Human Resources
Shawnté joined USA in 2016 and has 15+ years of experience as a
senior human resources, compliance, safety and/or legal professional in
the entertainment, health & beauty, medical and grocery retail
industries. Shawnté is part of our Human Resources & Legal team[s],
serving as an in-house attorney for USA’s California and Nevada
operations.
Donna
Vice-President - Operations
Donna joined the USA family in May 2016 after retiring as a Police
Dispatch Supervisor. Born and raised in Iowa, Donna and her family
relocated to California in the early 80’s. She worked for the cities of
Porterville and Irvine for 26 years. Living in the Central Valley and
Southern California gave Donna insight into the diversity and needs of
various communities. She developed her management and communication
skills leading by example in a structured, procedure-driven,
detail-oriented, and stressful environment in an emergency 911 dispatch
center. Donna understands the importance of communication, oversight,
structured documentation, and training. Her unique background and
experience will assist her to develop and maintain best practices to
standardize work flow providing consistency within USA while serving our
clients.
Greg
Director of Communication & Technology
Greg's background includes more than 20 years of design, publication,
and printing experience as well as several years of computer
programming and software assistance knowledge. Before joining USA, Greg
was the Director of Communications and Graphic Designer for a sizeable
non-profit organization. Based in Chandler, Arizona, Greg develops and
refines USA print advertising, provides company Web site support,
creates and designs company logos, print materials, and trade show set
design and construction.
Wendi
Director of Marketing & Brand Development
Wendi joined USA in 2004 after relocating from Kern County to the
Central Coast. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing
and a Masters of Business Administration in Business Marketing, Wendi
oversees all of USA’s branding, advertising, promotion, public and media
relations, trade shows, and marketing strategies.
Jorge
Director of Business Development (Jan. 8, 2007 - June 20, 2020)
Before joining USA in 2007, Jorge worked in the employment industry
for over 10 years. He worked as a Branch Manager, Regional Sales
Manager, and Vice President of Marketing and owned a multi-faceted
comprehension of the staffing industry. A Central Valley native, Jorge
attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a baseball scholarship. After
graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Art and Graphic Design,
Jorge relocated back to the Central Valley and owned his own business
for a period of years. Jorge was actively involved in his local
community and provided local sales and business development to USA 's
Visalia and Porterville locations as well as the entire account
executive team. Jorge is best remembered for his positive outlook,
legendary stamina and dedication, and for delivering daily motivation
and support to his team including all those he encountered.
Kyle
Director of Operations
Kyle brings relationship and organizational management leadership
experience to promote growth through planning, demonstrating, and
controlling resources. Prior to joining the company in 2016, Kyle held
key roles in sales and management positions in the retail and financial
industries. Kyle travels throughout the USA branch teams and provides
problem solving and new product implementation, technological support
and assistance, and rolls out new processes utilizing problem solving
skills and communication.
