Kitchen & Housekeeping Manager

Christian-faith non-profit organization in North County seeking full-time Kitchen & Housekeeping Manager that possesses love for people & food, who can create welcoming & memorable experience aligning with organization’s vision. This key position requires individual experienced in handling planning & execution of all meals (breakfast through dinner) for cafeteria/buffet style meal service for large, hosted groups. When organization is hosting overnight guests, you will also participate in & oversee housekeeping function, ensuring clean & organized guest quarters. Duties include: Preparing meals for visiting guests & ensuring that each meal service runs smoothly; Supervising kitchen staff & participating in preparing & serving food, & cleaning cafeteria & kitchen facilities; Managing housekeeping function by assisting with cleaning duties & overseeing housekeeping staff; Engaging positively & professionally with guests & staff; Staying active & involved throughout day. Required qualifications: Prior exp. performing janitorial or housekeeping duties; Thorough knowledge of commercial kitchen practices including meal planning, following recipes, & executing buffet-style meal service for large groups; Excellent customer service & interpersonal communications skills; Passion for working with faith-based adults & children; Love for people & community; Can-do attitude with willingness to contribute where needed for successful execution of organization’s mission. Hours may vary based on organization needs. Anticipated schedule will be Thu-Sun, from approx. 7:00am-7:00pm. Housing/on-site lodging available as needed. Wage: $20.00 hr. (#5.0310.101 – Paso Robles)
