Needed in Temecula, CA. Duties include: Reviewing samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output & tooling; Programming & operating CNC Machines, Mill, Lathe, Wire EDM, Grinder, etc.; Operating manual machines (Mill, lathe, Grinder, etc.); Machining & assembling custom tool & dies for sheet metal bending, stamping, forming, punching, & clinching; Developing structured workflow to ensure efficient project completion; Developing clear & visual metrics for efficiency, quality, & safety; Maintaining safe, clean, & organized work environment following 5S guidelines; Performing routine machine maintenance & repairing damage on tooling; Developing preventative maintenance schedules & processes for developed tooling; Ensuring that machines, tools, & gauges are properly calibrated & fit for use; Collaborating with engineers & manufacturing personnel for tooling & program improvements; Maintaining product & company reputation by complying with government regulations such as CAL/OSHA; Assisting in designing & building custom machines that process steel coils & get fed into tool & dies that perform function of bending, stamping, forming, punching, & clinching; Working with vendors to supply materials & outsource operations like heat treatments. Required qualifications: Trade School, Certifications, or relevant training; 10+ yrs exp. programing CNC Lathes, Mills, Grinders, &/or etc.; 10+ yrs exp. with CNC machinery & conventional machining; 10+ yrs exp. with CNC mills, lathes, & grinding; 10+ yrs exp. with tool & die with emphasis in sheet metal stamping, forming, bending, & punching; 3-5 yrs exp. in manager role; 10+ yrs exp. using CAD, Mastercam, or equivalent software; 3-5 yrs exp. using Solidworks or equivalent software; Forklift exp.; Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements; Proficient knowledge of properties of metal & other material; Working knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems as applied to machinery development; 10+ yrs exp. reading blueprints, schematics, & manuals; Good at math with analytical abilities; Physical stamina & strength to lift heavy items; Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, tool design, use of CNC machines, etc.; Familiarity with manufacturing equipment & quality assurance techniques; Commitment to health & safety standards & environmental regulations; Problem-solving ability; High level communication skills, both verbal & nonverbal; Willingness (Ability) to occasionally work late shifts or long hours; Able to lift maximum of 100 lbs. unassisted, waist high, up to 10 ft. away, & up to 140 lbs. of weight assisted; Able to sit, climb or balance, & stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, & ability to adjust focus. This job operates in a machine shop environment, although some elements require working in an office. This role mainly will be in the machine shop. You are regularly exposed to sounds & noise levels that are distracting & uncomfortable. These sounds come from machines & equipment that are constantly running. Can be exposed to hazardous coolants & lubricants. While working the machine shop, all required PPE must be followed. Expected schedule is 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8-hr. shift. Full-time position.
