Maintenance Technician II

Duties include: Scheduling work order requests adhering to priorities; Handling daily maintenance of facility & grounds; Completing all unit repairs; Scheduling any unit refurbishing by outside vendors as needed; Supervising work of outside contractors to ensure quality of work adheres to project specifications; Taking garbage cans out to dumpsters & recycling to curb; Cleaning laundry rooms, community bathrooms, & hallways; Ordering supplies & managing inventory; Unclogging toilets; Repairing dripping faucets; Changing light bulbs; Completing work orders; Painting vacant units; Performing maintenance on sprinkler system; Performing other maintenance repairs as needed. Required qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; 3+ yrs exp. in maintenance trade fields, building maintenance, or construction; Ability to perform skilled & semi-skilled movements, such as working with cordless drills & drill presses, saws, snakes, air compressors, nail guns, cement mixer, mechanical, carpenter tools, plumbing tools, heating & air conditioning, & painting tools. Certification, license, or equivalent as required under state &/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in technical field such as HVAC, building trades, or building utilities program preferred. Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position. Wage: $24.00 hr. (#5.0317.106 – San Luis Obispo)
