Occupational Therapist

Will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to participants. Travel may be necessary to support all customers. Duties include: Helping in development & implementation of Quality Improvement (QI) activities; Conducting initial comprehensive assessment in person, at requisite intervals, & developing plan of care for participants on-site, in hospitals, in nursing facilities, in assisted living facilities, & in their homes (evaluations include, but are not limited to: functional status, physical status, activities of daily living (ADL) status, cognitive functioning, visual-perceptual status, feeding skills, cooking skills, bed mobility, wheelchair needs, & home safety evaluations); Developing, instructing, & supervising other staff &/or family members on therapy program to be carried out by individuals other than occupational therapist; Being flexible in schedule of hours worked & in scheduling participants’ treatments to accommodate participants’ availability. Required qualifications: Current Occupational Therapist license in State of California; CPR with First-Aid certification; Medically cleared for communicable diseases & has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently, & 15 lbs. constantly (obtain assistance of another qualified employee when attempting to lift or transfer objects over 25 lbs.).
