Physical Therapist

Will be responsible for physical therapy services to participants. Travel may be necessary to support all customers. Duties include: Participating as member of interdisciplinary team (IDT) & completing initial, semi-annual, unscheduled, & annual assessments; Attending morning updates & reporting changes in participants’ baseline status to appropriate staff on daily basis; Assessing need for adaptive equipment & durable medical equipment (DME); Ordering & facilitating authorization of such equipment; Assessing, recommending, & providing follow-through therapy for specialized shoes; Developing, instructing, & supervising other staff &/or family members on therapy programs to be carried out by individuals other than physical therapist. Required qualifications: Current Physical Therapist license in State of California; CPR with First-Aid certification; Medically cleared for communicable diseases & has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact; Ability to function independently & work effectively & in collegial manner with all members of interdisciplinary team, co-workers, & department heads; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently, & 15 lbs. constantly (obtain assistance of another qualified employee when attempting to lift or transfer objects over 25 lbs.).
