Service Technician

Needed in Paso Robles to support skilled mechanics with basic repairs, inspections, & general shop yard duties & maintenance. Great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintenance & repair while working alongside experienced professionals. Duties include: Assisting Technicians with basic repairs & maintenance tasks under their guidance & supervision; Performing routine inspections of yard, vehicles, engines, components, & systems to identify any issues or potential problems; Completing basic welding & fabrication of parts; Performing general shop duties such as cleaning & organizing work areas, maintaining tools & equipment, & ensuring safe & efficient working environment; Unloading supplies & equipment with use of forklift; Working with vendors in ordering & stocking necessary parts for yard; Completing data entry for orders, inspections, & inventory; Providing support to mechanics as needed to ensure timely completion of repairs & maintenance tasks. Required qualifications: High school diploma/equivalent education; 1 yr. exp. working in automotive repair/lube tech shop or similar environment; Valid driver's license & acceptable driving record; Basic computer skills & ability to navigate iPad; Strong mechanical aptitude & willingness to learn & develop new skills; Ability to follow instructions & work effectively as part of team; Good communication skills & ability to interact professionally with colleagues. Completion of vocational or technical training program strong plus. Exp. with welding &/or heavy equipment a strong plus. Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position. Wage: $22.00-$34.50 hr. DOE.
