Duties include: Driving Supplier Improvement Projects to establish problem/process root cause & definitive corrective action plans necessary to improve Supplier OTD & reduce Scrap, Rework, & Repair costs; Incorporating strategies to drive supplier improvement; Providing leadership on problem solving teams to drive root cause analysis, reduce supplier non-conformities, & improve On Time Delivery (OTD); Coordinating/making modifications to existing procedures, production processes, engineering specifications, & inspection techniques/plans/procedures; Monitoring results necessary to validate improvements; Performing source inspection as required (may be on site or virtual based on scheduled needs & criticality); Developing, monitoring, & analyzing product/process trend data to optimize manufacturing performance & minimize product & process variability & associated production costs; Developing product quality plans & inspection methodologies; Collecting & analyzing quality data to identify & prioritize opportunities for improvement of products & processes; Reviewing & approving First Article Inspection reports per AS9102; Managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests; Managing day-to-day nonconformances & driving containment activities; Interpreting Customer Requirements (Source Control Drawings), customer/industry specifications, & quality requirements, Specifications, & Quality requirements; Conducting Purchase Order review, flow-down requirements to suppliers; Participating on Material Review Board (MRB) & Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes; Developing process flow charts/diagrams & Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA); Working with suppliers to create statistically valid control plans for manufacturing processes; Using lean & six sigma tools to drive process & product variation reduction; Conducting & participating in internal & external quality system, process, & product verification audits; Supporting product/process certifications & approvals; Performing other job-related duties as assigned by Quality Management. Hours/7:00am-3:30pm. Wage: $85,000-$106,000 yr. (#5.0115.321 – Ontario)
